Art Program at Murphy Learning Center
Our aim is to help your children build their confidence, learn new skills, think creatively, and make new friends along the way. Take a look down below for some examples of what your child will be doing
There are many reasons why art education is important for a child’s development. Studying visual arts can help unlock creativity and imagination, help develop motor skills and brain development, build confidence, improve academic performance and focus. In addition, art education provides links to math, science, language development, and understanding social and cultural diversity.
In our classes, your children will learn about famous artists like Vincent Van Gogh, Henri Matisse, and Georgia O’Keeffe. They will create art projects using different art mediums like watercolors, acrylics, and pastels. All of the artwork the children make in our classrooms will be able to go home with them so they can display their work and show their family what they have learned.
Call today to enroll your child in our spring art camp. All art materials are included in the camp cost. Children are encouraged to bring an art smock or over sized t-shirt to wear over their clothes during class.
We now offer adult art classes that are perfect for a mom's night out, or for anyone that wants to improve their artistic abilities. Come visit us Monday from 7:30 - 8:30 PM!
